Are you looking for the best way to get your teens connected to Student Ministries at CCV? Wednesday night is your answer. This is a large group setting of 7th-12th grade students that come together for close fellowship, passionate worship, and biblical teaching that is geared directly for this age group.

Some may wonder why we have one combined service for 7th-12th graders. Although it may seem counterintuitive, there is one simple (though disconcerting) reason for this. In our culture, students are dealing with heavy issues at younger ages than in previous generations. For example, students in junior high are facing the same temptations, struggling with the same issues, and asking the same questions as high school students. In light of this, we recognize that there is a need for both junior high and high school students to receive the same.

It is an incredible experience to see how junior high and high school students interact on a Wednesday night. The junior high students bring an energy level that is unrivaled by high school students (or any other age group for that matter) and which provides momentum during worship. On the other hand, high school students bring maturity during the message and a sincere passion to worship that calls the junior high students to a higher level. Can you imagine how a 7th grade boy would respond when he sees a 12th grader praising God with all of his heart? Isn’t that an awesome model for a young boy to follow as he enters into adolescence? It is this symbiotic relationship between junior high and high school students that makes Wednesday nights at SHIFT Students an amazing congregation to be part of!
