Why Give to a Local Church?

As Christ Followers, we believe that we are stewards of God’s resources because everything belongs to God. Throughout the Bible, we are reminded of the importance of giving back a portion of what God has given to us.

“‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘if I will not open for you the window of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.’” -Malachi 3:10

The Bible also says, “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” -2 Corinthians 9:7

We do not give out of bitterness but out of complete trust in God because He is the giver of all things.
